Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture. A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens, led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream: To become the next generation of bright, sparkling “school idols”! Love Live! Sunshine!!

Love Live! Sunshine!! is a multimedia project developed by Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works that features a school idol group called &quot;Aqours&quot; (pronounced &quot;aqua&quot;). It was first announced in February 2015 and made its debut in the anime adaptation that aired in the summer of 2016. The project also includes music CDs, live concerts, and a mobile game.

The story of Love Live! Sunshine!! takes place in Uchiura, a small seaside town located in the prefecture of Numazu. The story follows a group of nine high school girls who attend the school Uranohoshi Girls&#39; High School and decide to form a school idol group in order to save their school from shutting down due to declining enrollment. The main character, Chika Takami, is a second-year student who is inspired by the legendary school idol group &quot;μ&#39;s&quot; to start her own school idol group.

The members of Aqours are Chika Takami, a determined and passionate leader; Riko Sakurauchi, a former piano prodigy who has lost her passion for music; Kanan Matsuura, a transfer student from a school in the countryside; Dia Kurosawa, the student council president; You Watanabe, a sports girl who is looking for something else to be passionate about; Yoshiko Tsushima, a student who has a &quot;fallen angel&quot; persona; Hanamaru Kunikida, a cheerful and friendly girl; Mari Ohara, a student who has a love for drama; and Ruby Kurosawa, Dia&#39;s little sister who is a first-year student.

Aqours faces many challenges along the way, including lack of experience, lack of funding, and lack of support from the school. But through hard work, perseverance, and the power of friendship, Aqours manages to overcome these obstacles and become one of the most popular school idol groups in Japan.

The music of Love Live! Sunshine!! features catchy pop songs that are performed by the voice actresses of Aqours. The songs are produced by some of the most well-known names in the Japanese music industry, such as Lantis and Sunrise Music Publishing. The songs are often used as background music during the anime and are also included in the music CDs that are released alongside the anime.

One of the most unique aspects of Love Live! Sunshine!! is the live concerts that are held for the anime. These concerts feature the voice actresses of Aqours performing the songs from the anime live on stage.
